About the event
We are delighted to welcome Kirsty (@mammaandtommy) to our next online CPD session. Kirsty is a certified neurodiversity affirming parent coach, a qualified Early Years Practitioner and a mother of three, including an autistic son. She brings a unique combination of professional expertise, specialist training and lived experience to her work.
Kirsty is widely known for her compassionate and practical approach to supporting autistic children and their families. Her specialisms include ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder), sensory processing differences and gestalt language processing. Drawing on her own family’s journey, as well as years of experience coaching parents and collaborating with educators, she offers strategies that are rooted in understanding, respect and evidence based practice.
In this interactive one hour session, Kirsty will explore the realities of ARFID and extreme food refusal in autistic children, helping attendees understand the sensory, emotional and developmental factors at play. She will also share insights into supporting…
