Frequently Asked Questions
🔸 What is Neurodivergence Connect?
Neurodivergence Connect is a parent–teacher collaboration project based in Scotland. We host CPD sessions, share lived-experience insights, and develop training rooted in neurodivergent realities. Our events give teachers and professionals the chance to hear directly from parents and carers of neurodivergent children — because we believe parents are key experts in their children’s education.

🔸 Who are your events for?
Our sessions are open to:
-
Teachers and school staff (all sectors)
-
Support for Learning and ASN teams
-
Parents and carers of neurodivergent children
-
Local authority staff
-
Anyone working in children’s education, health, or wellbeing

🔸 Are your sessions accredited CPD?
Our sessions are not GTCS-accredited, but they do count as valid CPD hours, and we provide confirmation for your professional learning record. Many schools and local authorities recognise the value of this lived-experience learning.

🔸 Can I ask questions in advance?
Yes! When you sign up, you’ll be invited to submit questions you'd like our parent panel to answer. These might be about autism, ADHD, PDA, school anxiety, sensory needs, or anything else you’re navigating in your role.

🔸 Are parents involved in running Neurodivergence Connect?
Yes — everything we do is parent-led and co-produced. All our sessions are developed with input from parents and carers of neurodivergent children. We believe lived experience must be central to professional learning.

🔸 Can you come to our school or local authority?
Not just yet — but it’s in the works. We’re developing options to bring our approach into schools and councils through bespoke CPD, family engagement strategies, and more. If you'd like to express interest or discuss future collaboration, feel free to get in touch.
